The Darkest Muncaster project was originally designed and developed by Sutton Vane Associates.

In 2005, Marl International were approached by Muncaster to enhance, expand and develop parts of the project further through the use of their intelligent solid state lighting products and systems. The following pictures have been taken in Autumn 2007 prior to the launch of the Darkest Muncaster 2007/2008 season. The design of the lighting of the castle, the trees and the woodland walk is by Sutton Vane Associates. Please note that LED light sources are used in the castle windows and for the illumination of some of the planting.
