Quality Apprentice, Callum Penny, joined the team back in 2014; and has since achieved his BTEC National Certificate in Operations and Maintenance Engineering (QCF) with a Distinction Merit.
Working with Quality Engineer, Neil, Callum has quickly become an integral part of the Marl team. Callum has a varied role, and can be checking deliveries in and out, or dealing with COSHH Records and Risk Assessments - to name but a few of his tasks!
Callum has a long-standing interest in all things electronic and seeing how things are made; making him a natural fit for our Quality Department.
When he is not at work, Callum enjoys music, plays guitar, and is involved in a band.

We asked Callum to tell us about his role here at Marl:
I start my Monday morning early, usually arriving around 7:45am, to check my emails and prioritise my workload for the week; this continues throughout the week as I often have to prioritise certain tasks to be completed in a specific time frame.
I have been fascinated by circuitry and electronics for a long time (especially taking things apart!). I enjoy seeing how things are made / used, and how they make a difference in the modern world. Marl contacted me through my college to interview for my role in Quality, and I enjoy my role gaining knowledge of LEDs and electronics.
