A combination of extensive optical knowledge and the ability to provide engineering samples and technical support in a short timescale has resulted in Marl International Limited being asked to fully produce fully assembled LED Door Pressels, complete with switches supplied by EAO Highland.

The LED Door Pressels are designed to allow rapid fitting to rolling stock and offer the user high reliability and maintenance free operation.

A fully qualified, rugged Electronic Egress Lighting System (EELS) to provide a clear, lighted path in an emergency. The system comprises floor strip lighting, vestibule kick-strip lighting, exit signs and power/diagnostic unit. All lighting elements use green LED technology for high reliability and longevity.

Originally designed for train carriages, EELS is also suitable for use with a wide range of other static and mobile applications. The EELS provides a lighted path during normal operations, and is battery maintained during power outages.

Unlike other egress systems, which only function in emergency situations, Marl's EEL system is permanently lit. This means that the passenger is made aware of the system during the journey, and can be better equipped to recognise the system in smoke or darkness.

The EELS steady light provides enhanced passenger reassurance during short-term dimming or longer power dropouts in the normal vehicle lighting system. The system is designed to be aesthetically compatible with modern railway carriages, and is an attractive feature of the overall lighting in the carriage. The system has defined Life Cycle Costs, Reliability, Availability and Maintainability (LCC/RAMS) characteristics.

One less system to worry about: Marl International Limited's LED Gauge ring provides the best backlighting solution for Rolling Stock, Speedometer and break gauges.

Marl's Gauge ring product family has inbuilt protection against electrical transients plus diode protection to guard against reverse polarity connection making this unit ultra reliable. It is designed to be placed behind the panel and secured using a bracket mounted on the gauge.

LED Gauge ring units are fully potted ensuring extremely high resistance to shock and vibration, suiting them ideally to rolling stock applications. The use of high intensity white LED's give excellent information definition. Driver feedback has welcomed the use of high readability LED illumination in locomotive cabs. The LED Gauge Rings have a nominal operating voltage of 110 Vdc with a range of 82.5 Vdc - 137.5 Vdc.

The Marl MR11 LED modules incorporate the latest LED technology for outstanding performance in accent and general lighting applications. The modeules have been developed to interface with standard MR11 sockets allowing direct replacement. Two versions are available: an all-purpose lamp which produces a light output equivalent to a 20W halogen lightbulb and a reading lamp with light output equivalent to a 10W halogen lightbulb.

Due to the reduced power consumption and long operating life (>50,000 hours) they provide energy savings of up to 80% compared to standard dichroic MR11 halogen lamps. This allows a short payback period of less than 1 year when operated for 18 to 24 hours per day.

The modules are ideal as a fit and forget, maintenance free replacement for all MR11 type fittings*

* The all-purpose lamp is 10mm deeper than a conventional MR11 halogen lightbulb whereas the reading lamp has an identical footprint for applications where space is limited.

The Marl MR16 LED lamp incorporates the latest CREE® LED technology for outstanding performance in accent and general lighting applications. The product has been developed to interface with all standard MR16 sockets allowing direct replacement and produces light levels suitable for replacing conventional halogen lamps up to 35W. A warm and cool white version is available.

Due to the reduced power consumption and long operating life (50,000 hours) the Marl MR16 LED lamp provides energy cost savings of up to 80% compared to standard dichroic MR16s. This allows a short payback period of less than 1 year when operated for 18 to 24 hours per day.

The modules are ideal as fit and forget, maintenance free replacements for all MR16 type fittings and have the advantage of emitting zero UV or IR in the light beam, have no moving parts, fragile glass, mercury, toxic gasses, and no filament.

A robust light designed to provide illumination for a clipboard. A switch is integrated into the design for ease of use and installation. The rear bracket ensures the mounting fixtures cannot be pulled through the wall.

The unit emits a clean white diffused light angled in towards the clipboard mounted below.

The light is potted to protect the unit from moisture and vibration.

The 743-615-00-50 is a high intensity Step Light designed for the rail industry.

Due to the reduced power consumption and long operating life (50,000 hours), the Step Light is ideal as a fit and forget, maintenance-free replacement for halogen type fittings.

The Step Light is fitted with a two way receptacle which mates with the two pin plug of the constant current driver (supplied). Extension cables, to increase distance betwen Step Light and driver, are available on request. The driver also has a two pin receptacle fitted to the 10-40Vdc input wires.
