Mechatronics Engineer

We are in the process of expanding our Design Team and have a vacancy for a Mechatronics Engineer.

This is an excellent job opportunity for a bright and enthusiastic experienced Mechatronics Engineer to join a well-established multidisciplinary Design Department. The successful candidate should be able to learn at a fast pace as well as apply previous knowledge to the role. The successful candidate will project manage and have responsibility for the design and development of predominantly Mechanical Products and Systems with some Electronic / Optical Design cross-over.

Principle Responsibilities

  • Research, Design, Development and Product Support
  • Support existing product ranges dealing with design changes, cost reduction and obsolescence
  • Mechanical, optical and electronic design of new products and systems in line with the Marl PDA system
  • Materials and components research and selection for new products
  • Design for manufacture
  • Design to defined budgets and timescales
  • Teamwork with other design team members
  • Interface and assistance to other departments within Marl as required
  • Project management of assigned projects

The Role

  • Day to day mechanical and electrical design and development work
  • Production of solidworks models and drawings
  • COSMOS model analysis
  • Component selection
  • Production support
  • Project management of PDA
  • Research and development
  • With support to Sales, Production Engineering and Customers

HND/Degree Qualified

Financial Controller

This is an excellent job opportunity for an experienced Financial Controller preferably with manufacturing experience to join our team. The successful candidate should be able to apply a wealth of experience and knowledge to the role as well as offer peer to peer guidance and support where appropriate.

Qualifications

Recognised accounting qualifications (AAT, ACCA, CIMA)

Principle Responsibilities

  • Manage the Accounts Department
  • Produce the profit / loss account, balance sheet, trial balance and management accounts on a month end and year-end basis
  • Balance sheet, profit and loss and cash flow forecasting
  • Managing Project Finance
  • Provide financial information and reports as required
  • Monitor and report company cash flow
  • Administration of the invoice finance accounts
  • Oversee the annual financial audit
  • Liaise with company bankers and auditors
  • Produce, implement and monitor the annual budget
  • Identify cost savings and reduce overheads
  • Produce monthly EC Sales Reports and Intrastat Reports
  • Responsibility for producing VAT Returns
