Meg (Right) with AbbyMegan MacDonald, Admin Apprentice, is one of the newer additions to the Marl team, joining Sales in September 2017. Meg is a real team player, and has settled in very well.

Meg joins Gillian and Graham to complete the Distribution team, and is working towards completing her NVQ in Business Administration while providing Admin support to her team, and the wider Sales team as a whole.

We asked Meg to tell us more about her first 6 months at Marl:

After sixth form, I decided that an apprenticeship was the best option for me as it allowed me to carry on learning. When searching for an apprenticeship I came across Marl, after researching the company I decided to apply. 

I start my days with a cup of tea whilst prioritising my emails, checking my diary to plan the day ahead, and creating a "to do" list. After that I place the new purchase orders I have received and reply to any email queries. If I’m not answering the phones or emailing customers, I complete any updates to tasks I’ve been set or my NVQ work.

I am currently taking part in a Dove Nest Group course with some of my colleagues, which is to help us with personal development. I was pleased to be offered to take part in this course as it will allow me to develop my skills and hopefully make me a more valuable employee.
