Marl is delighted to announce that Citizen Electronics have introduced a new range of AC COB+ LED solutions. The new COBs are design-free and wired straight into mains electricity, eliminating the need for a driver design whilst still retaining their small, lightweight design.

In November 2014, Marl presented the new SMT Centre. Marl's SMT and LED assembly facility as a result of the investment now has the capacity to process 80k components per hour.

America II Electronics, Inc., one of the world's largest distributors of semiconductors and electronic components, has entered into a franchise distribution agreement with Marl. Under terms of the agreement, America II will have distribution rights to Marl's portfolio of LED components and accessories including discrete LEDs, PCB mounted LEDs, bulb replacement LEDs, and sealed LED panel indicators.

For the past fifteen years, Marl has developed high brightness LED linear strip light products for signage and display illumination; the Orion range. In 2000, the original Orion was developed to work alongside flat panel technology. Throughout the years the product has continually evolved to produce creative and highly useful products to meet a variety of requirements, including museum lighting, architectural illumination, and now, in 2015, even to aid plant growth.

Marl has enhanced its Design capability with the investment of a new 3D Printer, which can offer a prototyping service to customers. The Ultimaker 2 builds 3D objects, layer by layer, using molten plastic. As each layer is built, the plastic cools down and solidifies, creating a 3 dimensional object.

Croftlands Primary School approached Marl International for help creating a photography project inspired by the school's work with local photographer, Naomi Bartlett, creating blue and white silhouette nature prints. Marl has provided perspex sheets to be used for the project. Read on for more!
