MARL Acquired by Glamox Group
As of 13th August 2024, Glamox AS has entered into an agreement to acquire MARL International. Headquartered in Oslo, Norway, Glamox is a leading lighting company that has operations in Europe, Asia and North America. Annual revenues for Glamox in 2023 were NOK 4,266 million and the company employs around 2,100 professionals in total, which the MARL Team now joins.
MARL International will be a part of the Glamox Marine, Offshore & Wind (MOW) division, headed by Tommy Stranden.
With close to 60% of MARL’s 2023/24 revenue of 6m GBP coming from Navy projects, the company’s strength in the defence and navy markets aligns with Glamox’s competitive position in the maritime industry and its strategic growth objectives.

Outgoing Managing Director Adrian Rawlinson, who has been connected with MARL for more than 47 years, commented: “I honestly believe there is a very attractive strategic fit between the two companies and I think it is a positive direction for the future.
